That’s not the alpha, supports have always done that in PRUSA slicer. It’s just more noticeable now with organic supports as they tend to be located outside the model more. Every object is sliced independently, so you can place 2 objects overlapping and it will do the same.

So if your having issues with the alpha, I suggest you stop using it if you have no valid info to offer on GitHub, and wait until the rest of us and the Dev team try and fix it with our suggestions.

It's overall only about an hour faster estimated time than it was with 2.5, but the quality due to the overhang changes is a major improvement.Prusa "Organic Supports" are based on this Tree Support 2.0 Fork for Cura btw.
