For the minimum stats required to wield the Uchigatana, Basic+10 gets you approximately 233 total attack, versus 195 total attack for Sharp+5. Sharp+5 starts to outdamage Basic+10 at 26 Dex (264 vs. 260). At 40 Dex, Sharp+5 gets 309 total attack, while Basic+10 gets 286. Whether or not it's actually worth it, I can't really say. Tearing +5 gets a large boost from Dexterity, just like Sharp, but does less damage overall.
