Our IM colleagues are baffled at the amount of autonomy and critical care knowledge anesthesiologists have. FYI, our program has 5 pediatric attendings, 1 surgery resident, and 2 internal medicine residents that switched over to anesthesiology. They never looked back. Also we have more flexibility.It gets tricky adding programs if there are any data in the fields (like dates and stuff).
