The only way I can get it to start is by planting a 100W light bulb on the air intake heater housing for 1-2 hours. Obviously , the electric air intake heater is not working (despite the "glow plug" light on the dash lighting up for 10 seconds, which it does). The housing does NOT heat up. I've replaced the ($155! from a JD dealer) control module.First, the heater should come on every time the key is turned to the on position. Then the Engine ECM checks the coolant and intake air temp and if they are high enough, the heater shuts off. Second, the 12volt power that operates the circuit comes from the truck, not the ECM. The second brown thing back it is either a glow plug relay or the intake air heater relay. It is smoking and hot to the touch (on the brass post and overall). I did air intake heater delete and did some kind of wire with a resistor and stuff but this is kinda scary.
