A good gunsmith can do the same stuff with the factory parts that they can with good aftermarket parts. This video is exactly how my Staccato P is when the hammer is down. I think the video you posted is normal. But if the hammer is back, it is very positive engagement - it's either on or off. Although, my grip mitigates all of this as my thumb rides the safety when firing.
