Follow the road to the bay and access the ice from there. Snake Bay: Tucked away near the east shore, this bay harbors healthy stocks of pike and walleye, particularly in deeper waters. Take Highway 281 north from Devils Lake and turn onto 33rd Street NW. East Bay and EDL are currently in that 11-13 inch range. The cold snap that is about to occur tonight through early next week should get us to that ‘driving ice’ depth.
