May 17, 2015 · The engine has been running this high for 3 years now. There's no mass accounts of overheating penastars in the JK. I think people are trying to find a issue where it does not exist. I recently got to 240 (with a couple seconds at 244) while towing a heavy trailer uphill on the interstate in 89F weather - 4000 rpm in 3rd at 55 mph. So yeah, 250 isn’t normal.

A couple of weeks ago the electric radiator fan came on during a 2 hour drive and was very loud. After that day, that fan now comes on at full speed whenever driving more than about 10 miles on the highway. At full speed, its loud!
