There has yet to be a single thread from an owner with issues directly related to VCM (worn engine mounts, oil ring issues, etc). Some of the early 2018 vans are now exceeding 100K or more miles.

Anecdotally, my neighbors son has a v6 Accord with VCM. They kept having misfires and plug fouling. I recommended they try a VCM disabler. They got the VCM tuner 2 , replaced the fouled plugs and, last I asked, they haven’t had anymore issues. Also, it’s pretty easy to replace front pads and rotors on the Odyssey. I did mine and saved a lot.It's not due until 105k miles though, so no real reason to do it early. Forgot to add, but once your can has a "muzzler" the Rings should clean up.
